Uncovering the creative process that our
favourite designers choose can be just as interesting as the end result. And
this is certainly the case with the fascinating FACETURE project by New Zealand
based designer Phil Cuttance. The creative series consists of handmade faceted
vases, light shades and a table – each individually crafted by casting a
water-based resin into a simple handmade mould. The film made by Cuttance
reveals all about the creation process, but what makes the collection even more
appealing is the FECETURE machine. This simple but innovative device is so
interesting that it could stand alone as part of a design exhibition itself!
