Youtube is all set to launch an online short
film festival following its thought provoking user-generated movie Life in a Day. More than 80,000 videos were submitted by the global community and shot
in only 24 hours for this movie. The end product captures ‘a moment of the day’
bringing together the most captivating footage for a truly unique experience of
life.
Youtube is teaming up again with producers ‘Scott Free’ to encourage new talents to submit their creative work, where winners
will receive a substantial film-making grant. The festival also gives Youtube
the opportunity to rebrand itself as the world’s number 1 destination for video
on demand in a highly competitive marketplace.
